Cabins and Camp

- Your Rustic Outdoor Experience -
The Lodge is Open
For many years, Headwaters has mostly been known as a fishing camp
And why not?   With plenty of brook trout stocked annually,
those who know good fishing just keep coming back

Although fishing will always remain a popular favourite, we are now pleased
to offer a wider range of outdoor activities
- Winter or Summer -
TID BITS OF INFO:   Headwaters is 1250 meteres (4100 feet) in elevation and 11c (20f) cooler than the valley below.

Floating Islands within Headwaters Lake provide the spice of the unexpected as they glide across the lake propelled by the gentle summer breezes.  The lonely call of the loon reminds one of the solitude of the wilderness.

It is possible to catch a glimpse (or photograph) of deer, moose, beaver or otter.  Whisky Jacks, Swallows and Hummingbirds all make their home at Headwaters while Loons use one of the floating islands as a nesting place.

The Headwaters Lodge has a small store which sells fishing licenses, fishing supplies (worms), groceries, candy bars, pop, etc.

Boats are available for rent.  We have a limited number of aluminum boats with motor for rent.  If motor is required, please advise when making reservations to be sure of getting one.

Headwaters is a family-oriented camp.  i.e. No loud parties or music etc. is tolerated.

HISTORY:  Back in the 20's - you'd only find a small trappers cabin at Headwaters.  Eventually, a few more cabins appeared and the high mountain lake became known as a fishing camp.  As time moved on, the Farrel family began providing friends from the Okanagan with more cabins and an easy getaway weekend with fun filled fishing adventures.  In the early 90's, the camp continued to evolve with the Bockstatt family from Switzerland adding more features and refurbishing the rustic lakefront cabins.  In 2000, the Woodfield family were looking after Headwaters.

After many memory making visits to the camp ourselves, it became our dream to live the serene, rustic nature experience of Headwaters.   In May of 2004, our dream of owning Headwaters became reality.  Everyday we add and improve on the development of Headwaters.  And we're meeting so many nice people.   Our plan is to stay a lifetime.
